Mein Klassiker • • • • • (bewertet mit 5 von 5 Punkten) Alle meine Rezensionen ansehen Rezension bezieht sich auf: Bodily Functions (Audio CD) I am listening to this gem of CD right now, and I can't seem to get enough of it since the day I bought it almost two years ago. Usually the cd's I buy have to grow on me, and only rarely I get to like them from the first listen. Bodily Functions was one of those rare masterpieces. Matthew Herbert sampled rumours and sounds of the human body and integrated them into his music to give it a more organic and sensual touch. His music has a heartbeat, breathes, brushes its teeth, cracks his neck and has a digestive system. The range of styles in the cd is wide, from the jazzy sounds of "The Last Beat", to the more dancier "It's Only" and "The Audience". The songs have the beautifully soothing voice of Dani Siciliano singing on it (Matthew Herbert's wife) and one has a sample of the voice of his, at the time, new born baby. All of the songs will have you floating in safe worlds made of warm Placenta as soon as the sound waves hit your eardrums. Bodily Function IS the CD I have been waiting for all my life!
